Getting there
The gateway to Boracay is the port town of Caticlan Most visitors arrive in Caticlan by air (45 minutes from Manila and Cebu, with several flights every day). Some vistors from Manila prefer to fly to Kalibo, the capital of Aklan, and take a bus or van to Caticlan (40 minute flight, then 1 ½ to 2 hours by road. Others arrive in Caticlan from Iloilo province by road (around 5 to 6 hours) or from Manila by sea (around 14 hours). , Aklan. Bancas (outrigger boats) continuously ply the 20-minute route between the Caticlan jetty port and the island daily.
