Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
During a stay at Tonglen Beach Resort enjoy the fresh taste of locally grown produce. John and Loubelle Cann have established a farm on the mainland to encourage local growth of salad produce, and encourage others interested in cultivating these types of products. This means you'll benefit enjoying the local tastes of the Philippines. To further enhance your stay, Tonglen's is committed to reducing their environmental impact so the beauty of the area can be preserved. In participation with the government supported ENCONA program, the resort has developed an environmental management plan to better manage resources and waste. By our responsible and sustainable actions, you can enjoy a carefree holiday.
