Tribal Adventures Trekking Day Trip
Beyond Boracay, Tribal Adventures presents the real Philippines.
Hike through rainforests, turn back time in remote river villages, visit rice terraces and bamboo suspension bridges.
Push your boundaries by climbing waterfalls and swinging Tarzan-like into rock pools of the BugtongBato Waterfalls.
Learn the art of preparing and feasting native-style, before drinking the local brew "tuba" -- or beer or rum -- as you trade exhilaration for tranquility in a hot "kawa" tub at Kayak Inn on the Tibiao River only 1-1/2 hours by boat and van from Boracay.
The trip is a very full day, starting in Boracay usually at 6am and finishing in Boracay at 7pm.
Tribal Adventures offers daily Jungle Trekking trips down the Antique coast line where the mountainous jungles meet the ocean. The base Kayak Village is located in the mountainous region of Mount Madja-as in Tibiao, only a 1.5 hour trip from Boracay.
With Tribal Adventures you will witness first hand the intricate ecosystems of the jungles and river systems and take part in the daily life styles of the local population.
Tribal Adventures day trip is for anyone, you can be as adventurous as you like and push your envelope or you can just sit back and enjoy the surroundings and go at your own pace and comfort level.
DAY TOUR (Sample Itinerary for Day Trip)
6:00am meet at SandCastles Apartments, Station 1 White Beach for coffee, light breakfast, leave at 6.30am
7:00 am ferry to Caticlan (guest can meet us at the ferry 7 am sharp)
7:30-8:15 drive to Culasi for tour of a true Pinoy wet-market
9:30-12:30 Arrive at the village of Lapaz the first trekking jump off point, this 2-3 hour trek will bring introduce you to the rainforest and mountainous regions of Mt Madja-as
12:30pm lunch buffet Tribal Style at our day log Kayak Inn a truly amazing dining experience
1:30pm Trek through rice paddies, jungle and over bamboo suspension bridges to the water falls for swimming, climbing & cliff jumping!!
3:30pm soak in KAWA'S, award-winning Jungle Hot Tubs, an invention of Greg Hutchinson who builtKayak Inn, river swimming and enjoying ice cold beverages and snacks.
4:30pm leave for return trip to Caticlan
6:30pm ferry back to Boracay and return to Tribal Cafe for to watch the day’s video
Participant Guidelines
What To Bring:
- Sunscreen,
- hat,
- bug repellent,
- water thermos(beverages are included but we dislike disposable water bottles)
- walking shoes that will get wet or strong sandals,
- swim wear,
- waterproof layer,
- dry clothes for the ride home,
- tip money if you choose. (you can purchase water/trekking foot wear, water bottles and day packs from our office in Boracay)
