Tribal Adventure Trekking & White Water Action Tour

Tribal Adventures offers daily Jungle Trekking and white water kayaking trips down the Tibaio River, where the mountainous jungles meet the ocean

Having received a run down of the days activities the night before, you will leave Boracay around 6.30am and take a boat over to the mainland, stopping off en route at Culasi, to visit a wet market and purchase ingredients (included in the price) for breakfast, lunch and an early evening meal.

On arrival at Base Camp, Kayak Inn in Tuno, you'll be served a delicious breakfast with coffee, tea and juices.The tour starts off at a typical Philippine village, where you will be faced with picturesque scenes and, depending on the season, a chance to see how the rice harvest is prepared.

A 20 minute hike through rainforests, rice terraces and across bamboo suspension bridges follows, leading to the Bugtong Bato Waterfalls.  Here you will be assisted up the side of the waterfall by one of the many tour guides and in to a refreshing pool of water as more water cascades down from the waterfall above you.  Climbing back down you are then encouraged to swing, Tarzan-like into the rock pool below you. 

After a chance to dry off in the sunshine at the foot of this beautiful waterfall you will trek back to the village and the van will drive you back to Base Camp for another delicious snack.

Next you will be given instruction on kayaking and taken down to the training pool before heading out on to the rapids of the Tibiao River, the only Philippine river to have hosted international kayaking competitions, with white water class 2 to 3 rapids.

Again, the tour guides are with you every paddle of the way, directing, guiding and steering you through the rapids, which are tackled in sections for beginners.

After the kayaking you will return to Base Camp for a third, delicious snack and beverage before hopping in to a hot "Kawa" tub, for a relaxing soak.

The trip is a very full day, starting in Boracay usually at 6am and finishing in Boracay at 6pm or later.

For the Trekking portion you will cross bamboo suspension bridges, cross through hilly jungle terrain and have the choice to climb, repel and jump off of the waterfalls or just enjoy a good soak under the falls and swim in the mountain river pools.

For kayaking novices Tribal Adventures provides training sessions at the start of the tour. Life vest and helmets are supplied, two kayak guides are in each group and each kayak has a personal porter/safety spotter that follows you down the river.

The kayaks are sit on kayaks and, if you do fall out, your safety guides are there to retrieve you.  The rapids are a class 2 & 3 and should you, at any time, wish to stop your safety guide will walk you and your gear back to the base camp.

**If the water is to low or too fast and unsafe to kayak you will instead Trek to remote river villages for white water tubing and swimming.
